See how you can go local with landscaping

The snow isn't going to last forever. Start thinking about this year's gardening plans at "Landscaping with Native Plants," CFC's March Community Education program.

Community Education co-chairman Meredith Tucker will discuss native plants that work for every environment; she will also show slides to help you begin or expand your native landscape. This is a great opportunity to see examples of plants that will be available at CFC's Native Plant, Shrub and Tree sale, May 2 and 3.

The program will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Barrington village hall, 200 S. Hough St., Barrington. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for coffee, conversation and handouts. CFC members can attend for free; program fee for nonmembers is $10, paid at the program. Please RSVP to CFC at (847) 382-SAVE (7283) or to cfc@citizensforconservation.org.
