Believe Project: $100 for clients in health department's group homes

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Debbie Pande of West Chicago.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"I would give it to the Naperville Group Residence for DuPage County Mental Health Department. The county has a wonderful program that helps the mentally ill live in our neighborhoods safely. They live in group homes with counselors that are there 24/7 to assist them with whatever help they need. These counselors are fantastic. They are caring of the clients and help them with day to day goals that give them better self esteem and the abilities to live in our communities. They make sure that they continue with their meds and see proper health care givers. I have a family member that lives in the Naperville residence. It has meant so much to my family member to be able to have independence from their family and goals that they can obtain. I will match the $100 so that the counselors are able to do something special with the clients for fun."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
