Elect Warrenville fire board

Dwight and I have lived in Warrenville forever, and besides my 20-year tenure as mayor of Warrenville and Dwight's many years on District 31 and District 95 school boards, we have worked on too many other boards that have been both elected or appointed to be listed here.

We have the greatest respect and admiration for the Warrenville Fire Protection District. It is time for them to have an elected board of trustees. The city, library and park districts are the other taxing bodies that serve most of our community. We are allowed to choose the board representatives that serve on these boards that serve our public needs, They have all acted responsibly and well.

The fire protection district should also have an elected board. We should be allowed the right to vote for the representatives who make the financial decisions necessary to serve the public interests. All the fire department members we have asked are in favor of this change

Please join us on April 7 to vote yes on the referendum.
