Endorsements: Knar, Wall and Curtiss for Fox River Grove board

The main issue facing the Fox River Grove board is how to redevelop 20 acres in the downtown area. The village is working with Gart Partners on a $250 million plan that would bring apartments, office and retail space to the area. Executing the strategic plan the current board has created is the job of the next board. Fox River Grove residents are lucky that they have five candidates who all share a passion to see the village grow responsibly. Incumbent Steve Knar, who was appointed to the board in 2009, has a great vision for what he would like to see and is endorsed. Patrick Wall, who has worked on the planning and economic development commission since 2012 and serves on the District 3 school board, has a real passion for public service and is also endorsed. Jennifer Curtiss' background in finance and passion to see Fox River Grove become an attractive place for all would make her a great asset for the board. Curtiss is endorsed. Chester Olencheck and Christopher Russell both share the others' zeal for helping the village and are encouraged to find ways to put their energies to use to serve the community.
