Candidates will bring sound decision making to U46

The upcoming April 7 elections are a true test for voters in School District U-46. With four school board seats up for the vote, it is a chance for residents to finally have a say in the direction in which education and taxes are going.

With explosive property tax increases and failing education results, now is the time to change. The first and likely most important issue facing the new board will be the selection of a new superintendent of schools to replace the two past superintendents who have led this district on the current failed course with the aid of the current board.

Change is needed. From the insatiable appetite for more tax dollars to fund more administrators, rather than teachers, to the now legendary "grading scale change" which turns A students into B students and F students into C students, all in the name of "fairness."

Enough is enough.

In this regard, I endorse Phil Costello, Jeanette Ward, Ed Novak, and Cody Holt for the District U-46 School Board.

They have the proven financial and managerial experience to select a new superintendent and provide sound decision making reason to critical school issues.
