Rauner's statements on unions offensive

As a union member for fifty years of the Sheet Metal Workers' Local 73, I am offended by the comments of Gov. Bruce Rauner.

It is outrageous that he has the audacity to call unions corrupt. He obviously needs to take a hard look at where corruption lies within himself. How did Rauner's nursing homes make money? Who worked in those homes? Who was responsible for the deaths that occurred in the facilities while under his ownership?

Bruce Rauner profited from preying on the elderly. It's time he becomes accountable for his actions.

As I see it, Bruce Rauner needs to be educated on how unions benefit the people of this state and country. Can't he see that the "Right to Work" states are not proving to be very successful.

So many issues are affected; lower wages, higher infant mortality rate, workplace fatalities are higher and health benefits are lower.

Also, where is the money coming from to pay his regime at approximately a 36 increase from the previous? Allow me to answer that, please. Yes, out of our pockets. The hardworking middle class, many of which are skilled tradesmen and members of various unions are paying them these salaries.

One last note; it is our pension funds that Bruce Rauner made his money on.
