Barrington school to show anti-bullying film

Alexian Brothers Parish Services will show the documentary "Finding Kind" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at St. Anne Parish School's hospitality room, 319 East Franklin St., Barrington. The documentary raises awareness of and fosters change within the "girl world" of bullying. In this film, individual girls and women share some universal truths about growing up as girls and the quest to find a common ground of kindness and mutual respect. The film includes interviews with respected experts and authors in the fields of psychology, education and the interrelationships of women and girls. Popcorn and refreshments will be served, and a panel discussion with experts in the field and a student's perspective will follow. For more information on the Rise Above Bullying program, call Carrie Flanigan at the Lake County State's Attorney's Office (847) 377-3000.
