Classic Cinemas presents 'Predict the Oscars' contest

The award season has begun, and Classic Cinemas has announced its annual "Predict the Oscars" contest for the 2015 Academy Awards competition.

The nominees were announced Jan. 15 and it's time to pick your favorites.

On Feb. 22, comedian and actor Neil Patrick Harris will host the Oscars ceremony and thousands of Classic Cinemas ballots will soon reveal who predicted the correct winners. Movie lovers have until Saturday, Feb. 21, to enter the contest at all Classic Cinemas locations to win prizes.

The Grand Prize winner will receive free movies for two for an entire year at any Classic Cinemas theater location, along with a gift card valued at $200, good at any of the 20 Chicagoland Francesca's Restaurants.

Entrants choose from among the nominees in the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film. Each of the 13 Classic Cinemas locations will select one correct ballot for entry in the Grand Prize drawing.

The remaining 12 second-place winners will each receive a movie pass for one for the entire year. Additionally, every correct entry will receive a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo and a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location. Winning ballots will be drawn Feb. 23, to be announced and contacted later that week.

Patrons can complete and deposit their ballots in the lobby of any of the 13 Classic Cinemas theaters through the end of business Feb. 21. Entrants must be at least 16 years old, and only one entry per day is allowed. Contest rules are on back of ballots and posted in the theater lobbies.
