Police Ice Breakers want you:

The Lake County Sheriff's Office Ice Breakers are encouraging public participation in the 2015 Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics on Sunday, Feb. 22. Check-in will start at 10:30 a.m., with plunging at 1 p.m. at Fox Lake, 71 Nippersink Blvd., in the namesake village. Officials said the water action will end by 2 p.m. Last year, the sheriff's police team raised $12,290 for Special Olympics. The Ice Breakers, formerly called the Polar Plungers, aim to break last year's fundraising total.
