Youth Art Guild:

Volo Bog State Natural Area's Youth Art Guild will host an open house and free session from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at its facility, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road in Ingleside. Information about the guild and various small projects will be available to students. Adults interested in volunteering also are welcome. The Youth Art Guild meets the first Sunday of the month, February through December. The Guild is open to students ages 11 to 17 who want to explore nature through art. A $30 fee covers the program and includes a student membership to Friends of Volo Bog, an annual subscription to "The Bog Log." Artists who wish to donate supplies or those interested in registering for the program should contact Stacy Iwanicki by email at dnr.volobog@illinois.gov or (815) 344-1294.
