Study: Lake Zurich top for young families:
Financial website NerdWallet released a study this week showing Lake Zurich as the best town for young families in Illinois. NerdWallet cites exceptional schools in Lake Zurich Unit District 95 and Mayor Thomas Poynton leading the charge to boost social opportunities for residents through initiatives such as the Rock the Block street party in the village's downtown. NerdWallet says Lake Zurich's median family income is high enough for homes to be considered a good value there.
