Immigration movie is a must-see

Recently, I wrote to an Illinois Senator (his party begins with "R") disagreeing with his stance on President Obama's executive order on immigration. I challenged him to offer an alternative that did not include at least the features of the executive order, in particular, the treatment of the children caught in the current mess.

His reply was disappointing as it only mirrored his party's hardline stance on the subject. This is an open invitation to him to see the movie, "Spare Parts." The movie is based on a true story, is entertaining, and a feel good movie. The only black cloud lingering over the story and in real life as the epilogue of the movie makes abundantly clear is the terrible effect and cost in human terms of the current indefensible national policy on illegal immigrants.

I urge everyone reading this to quickly see the movie before it disappears. It is worth your time. It received a favorable review in the Washington Post. Further, your patronage might help Hollywood to make and better promote more films with a good story rather an the current diet of sex, violence, and general deterioration of our moral fiber. Enjoy!
