Sticking it to taxpayers twice

The president wants to give free college education and so does the mayor of Chicago. Senator Durbin wants to reduce the interest rates for student loans.

I guess this is how you reduce student loan defaults. It's amazing how elected officials use the term "free." More classes on underwater basket weaving, or TV watching of the Bachelor to learn modern relationships.

All the college presidents are for this but then when (if) enrollment increases they can justify pay raises for themselves thus sticking it to the taxpayers twice - once for free college, once for their raise.
