Is anti-Semitism alive and well?

Is anti-Semitism alive and well?

I am writing to express my outrage at the letter from Aurora resident, Joan Solms, dated Jan. 17. She states her reasons for lauding Putin for his surviving the forces of "The World's Four Horsemen" in particular Isreal (I assume she meant Israel) and "the Zionist"-controlled American media and news outlets. The term "Zionist" is simply a surreptitious term for Jewish.

I can only assume that the Daily Herald Editorial Board had simply taken leave of their collective senses in deciding to print this blatantly anti-Semitic letter, particularly in the wake of the events in France just a week ago. If the thought process was to inform Daily Herald readers that anti-Semitism is alive and well, and apparently flourishing in the Chicago suburbs, then the printing of this letter has surely done so.
