Pedestrian injured in Rolling Meadows hit-and-run; suspect in custody

Rolling Meadows police say a suspect is in custody in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred at 1:39 a.m. when a car headed eastbound on Algonquin Road struck the pedestrian near the Route 53 interchange, according to police.

Charges have not yet been filed, police said. Police did not immediately disclose the identity or any additional information about the victim or the person in custody.
