Women in government group meets:
Women Interested in Government will meet from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Gurnee Holiday Inn, 6161 Grand Ave. There will be a live feed presentation by Marcy Meffert, author of "Madam Mayor, How I Learned to Love Government And Hate Politics in Ten Intriguing Years." Meetings are open to any woman interested in government services. The group was formed nearly 30 years ago by retired Lake County Coroner Barbara Richardson and others.
