Driver extricated after 2-vehicle crash in Des Plaines
A driver had to be extricated from a vehicle Thursday morning after it crashed with another car in Des Plaines.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at 9:09 a.m. at Oakton Street and Wolf Road, the same time first responders were headed to the scene of a fatal house fire on the city's east side, said Fire Chief Alan Wax.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries; the driver who was extricated was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
