Hoffman Estates bank robbed Tuesday morning
Hoffman Estates police and the FBI are investigating the robbery of a bank in the village Tuesday morning.
According to police, a man entered the Hoffman Estates Community Bank at 2200 W. Higgins Road at 8:45 a.m. and passed a note to a teller.
The teller complied with the note by giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash, after which the robber ran north from the bank.
No one was hurt during the robbery and no weapon was displayed, police said.
The robber is described as a black man, about 6 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build, and was last seen wearing orange clothing.
