Mary's message about children applies today

Important information was printed in the Dec. 13 Daily Herald showing the great number of people who gathered to pray in Des Plaines at Maryville to give God honor and glory. But it was stated on the front page that Catholics worship Mary, which is not true since we pray "to Jesus through Mary."

When Mary appeared to Juan Diego to tell him her message in 1531, the image of Mary was left on his tilma (shirt) to prove to the archbishop it was really the Mother of God speaking. This garment still hangs over the altar of the cathedral in Mexico City for all to see.

Mary came to bring the message that life is precious and to stop killing children by sacrificing them to their false gods. We need to remember Mary's message today for our country and our world because we are sacrificing our unborn children to our false gods through abortion.
