Rotary Club of St. Charles seeks recipes for anniversary cookbook

The Rotary Club of St. Charles is seeking recipes for a special international cookbook that will commemorate the diamond anniversary as a fundraiser to support its motto of "Service Above Self."

The 75th Cookbook fundraiser will highlight recipes from Rotary club members, city leaders, noted names in the community, youth and scholarship winners, St. Charles residents, and even you.

Last year, the club gave more than $16,000 in student scholarships and has supported local organizations such as Lazarus House, TriCity Family Services, and Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.

All questions and recipe submissions can be emailed to StcRotaryRecipes@gmail.com. With recipe submissions, include your full name, city of residence, and the recipe's country of origin. Submissions are due by Jan. 15. The anticipated publication date of the book is July 1, 2015, the start of the 75th year.

The Rotary Club of St. Charles is committed to "Service Above Self" and focuses on five areas of service that include Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, International Service, and New Generations Service. The club meets weekly at noon on Thursdays for a lunch and general business meeting. Anyone who lives or works in St. Charles with interest in the Rotary Club is welcome to attend a lunch meeting as a guest of a fellow Rotarian. Learn more at www.rotarystc.org.
