Arkansas signs junior college defensive lineman
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bret Bielema says junior college defensive lineman Jeremiah Ledbetter has signed national letter of intent and will join the Razorbacks in January.
The 6-foot-3, 281-pound Ledbetter is originally from Orlando, Florida. He spent the last two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, where he had 76 tackles - 24 for loss - and 16 sacks last season as a sophomore. He was named a second team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American.
Ledbetter chose Arkansas over scholarship offers from Georgia, Oklahoma State, Florida, South Carolina, Auburn and Miami.
The Razorbacks were 6-6 this season in Bielema's second year and play Texas (6-6) in the Texas Bowl on Dec. 29.
