Crime Stoppers, McHenry County sheriff's office seek info on burglaries

The McHenry County Sheriff's office and Crime Stoppers of McHenry County are looking for information regarding recent burglaries in the unincorporated McHenry area.

Between Dec. 4 and Dec. 7, two outbuildings in the Colby Point subdivision off West Justen Road and south of the city of McHenry were burglarized. In this burglary, two dirt bikes were stolen. One of the dirt bikes is red and white with black plastic dipped rims, and the other is green and white, according to a news release.

Then on Dec. 12, a residence in the Bull Ridge subdivision off Ridge Road in McHenry was burglarized. Money and jewelry were stolen.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-762-7867 or the sheriff's office investigations bureau at 1-815-334-4750. Those who call the Crime Stoppers tip line can stay anonymous.
