2 charged in Elgin car break-ins

Two Elgin men accused of breaking into cars early Monday morning will appear in bond court this morning in Rolling Meadows.

Elgin police were called to the 1100 block of Leawood Drive about 2 a.m. after a witness reported seeing two men entering various vehicles, authorities said in a news release.

Officers found the men and learned they had taken items from other cars in the area, police said.

Police arrested Paul D. McGinley, 23, and Codie P. Ingraffia, 22, and charged both with

burglary to motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.
