Hinsdale teen critical after being struck by train

A 17-year-old girl who was struck by a Metra train Saturday night in Hinsdale remains in critical condition at Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, authorities said Sunday.

An investigation is ongoing, Hinsdale police Chief Bradley Bloom said.

“From various witness accounts, it does not appear to be an accident,” Bloom added.

The Hinsdale girl was hit by the inbound train at 7:05 p.m., adjacent to the main depot between Washington and Garfield streets, authorities said.
