The Schaumburg Park District will report ice skating conditions for three ponds this winter
Check conditions before heading out to ice skate at Schaumburg Park District ponds.
Conditions will be reported at www.parkfun.com under Parks/Ice Skating. After conditions have been reported they will only be updated when conditions change from the previous report.
The three ponds include:
• Volkening Lake, 900 W. Schaumburg Road
• Gray Farm, 120 N. Cloverdale Lane
• Twin Ponds at Lancer Creek, 539 S. Summit Drive
Ice checks are completed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for thickness and safety.
Ponds will display the green flag for safe skating and red for unsafe.
All other Schaumburg Park District ponds will always remain closed with a red flag.
