Believe Project: $100 to accessorize wheelchair for boy with MS

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Billita Jacobsen of Carpentersville.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch: "I've worked with a student for six years, who is now a sixth-grader. He has MS. Never once has he complained about his condition. Not once. If awarded the $100, it would be used to buy a wheelchair backpack, cup holder and wheelchair lights. The regular backpack gets tangled up on his wheels occasionally; the lights would give his chair some flair that I think he would enjoy."

• The Believe Project will award $100 each day in December to a different person with a good idea for how to use $100 to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
