Holiday specials, open house at Gifts of the World

Holiday specials and open house will be from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Gifts of the World Fair Trade Store, 888 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. The special open house event will feature free coffee, chocolate and Amish apple butter samples.

Shop for unique one-of-a-kind gifts made of recycled materials such as newspapers and chip bags, old bike chairs for frame, clock and tea light holders, recycled tires for a frame and recycled newspaper Nativities. During the month of December shoppers receive a free handmade ornament with purchase. Gift certificates are available.

Gifts of the World, a Fair Trade store, features handmade jewelry, home decor, coffee, chocolate, pottery, sculptures, artwork, nativities, Amish items and more. Holiday hours are 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
