Waukegan man, 41, charged with child solicitation

A 41-year-old Waukegan man is charged with soliciting sex acts from who he thought was a 14-year-old boy on a social networking application, authorities said Saturday.

Jorge E. Descamilla, of the 300 block of Kyle Street, contacted an undercover Lake County Sheriff's Office detective who posed as the boy on the mobile app Thursday, authorities said. Descamilla requested to meet with the boy about 6 p.m., the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Instead, he was met by detectives from the sheriff's office cybercrimes unit.

Descamilla was charged with four counts of indecent solicitation of a child. After he was taken into custody Thursday, Descamilla told detectives he intended on meeting the 14-year-old boy to engage in several different sexual acts, the release stated.

A Lake County judge set his bail at $200,000. Descamilla is next due in court Dec. 31.
