Community made a difference in trying time

Since November is the month of gratitude, I'd like to say thank you to the wonderful Lake Zurich area community. I recently suffered two unexpected medical issues, which made life a little more complicated for a usually healthy wife/mom to a family of five. However, the response from our community and network of family and friends brought a silver lining.

I cannot express enough thanks to my family and friends, Chestnut Corners neighbors, LZ Cougars baseball teams, District 95 classmates and staff, and Father Ryan at St. Francis de Sales parish for showing our family so much consideration as we were dealing with these medical issues. Your kind words and actions, gift baskets, meals and prayers were such bright moments for our family. I feel so fortunate that my children could witness how amazing people can be when you need them. We are proud to live in such a caring community.
