Mundelein police fundraiser

The Mundelein Police Academy Alumni Association will host its sixth annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser on Friday, Dec. 5, 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Mundelein Police Department, 221 North Lake St., immediately following the annual tree lighting ceremony at Kracklauer Park. There will be a silent auction with authentic sports memorabilia and a raffle with gift certificates to local merchants. The alumni association assists the police department with many events throughout the year and has donated equipment such as portable breath testers for the department's use and donated money to the MPD's Shop with a Cop event. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 years of age, and children 4 and under are free. They can purchase in advance or the night of the event at the front desk at the Mundelein Police Department in the lower lobby or upper lobby - Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, visit www.mundelein.org/police or call (847) 968-4600.
