Obamacare came to us through deception
The Nov. 14 story in the Daily Herald echoes the reality of the five videos, dating to 2011, in which Jonathan Gruber, the major architect of the Affordable care Act, or Obamacare, now admits to deception and lies as a method to pass this legislation. His comments reinforce what most in the GOP had said, but that, alas, the media in concert with the Democratic Party wouldn't report.
Remember those famous lines? "You can keep your medical insurance if you want to." "You can keep your doctor if you want." These and many more were part of the lies and lack of transparency foisted upon the "stupid voters" (his words, not mine) by him and the Democratic leadership. It was so blatant, that instead of through an open vote and discussion for amendments in the Senate, Harry Reid passed it under reconciliation, needing only 51 Senate votes. And so wrapping it all up, we have Nancy Pelosi, adding her famous "we must pass the ACA so we can see what's in it".
If you don't think this was a concerted effort by all the main players in the Democratic Party, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. But who were these people lying to? The American voters, yes, but specifically which ones? The Democratic voters both in Congress and in America. Not a single GOP vote was made for Obamacare in Congress. So who was Jonathan Gruber really talking about when he said, "stupidity of the voters." Think about it.
