Car jumps curb, runs into Fox River Grove bank

A vehicle driven by a Fox River Grove woman jumped the curb outside Chase Bank in the same village and struck the building Monday afternoon, breaking out a window, police say.

Nobody was injured in the crash that happened around 4 p.m. at Chase Bank, 712 S. Northwest Hwy., Fox River Grove Police Chief Ron Lukasik said.

Despite false initial reports that the crash involved multiple vehicles and a car that rolled over and went into the bank, police say the single-vehicle crash did some cosmetic damage to a corner post as well as breaking out the window.

The driver was not injured. Police are still investigating.
