There's always risk to living abroad

It must have been a slow news day or week during "Benghazi" as the reality of having U.S. personal overseas is that they cannot be completely protected. The State Department says there are 11,000 U.S. citizens working for us overseas, plus 45,000 foreign nationals as employees who are obvious targets. Plus families. Plus hundreds of thousands of U.S. military personnel stationed around the world.

I've experienced many nervous, situations firsthand during 20 years of frequent travels to 65 countries. I and anyone who has traveled extensively overseas will realize that nobody, including President Obama nor then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton can offer 100 percent security. There are no guarantees in walking the streets of America, let alone traveling around the globe. Let's move on.
