Culver's of Libertyville to host night of giving for local dance company

Libertyville's Forum Dance Theatre began as a group of five dancers nearly 20 years ago and has grown into one of the Midwest's best pre-professional training programs. Its dancers are invited to perform with some of the most prestigious companies throughout the U.S. and Europe, and will be performing in Austria next summer. Additionally, Forum instructors are hailed among the top dance educators in the country.

Culver's of Libertyville, 803 East Park Ave., will recognize Forum Dance Theatre by hosting a 'Night of Giving' fundraiser on Wednesday, November 19, from 5-8 p.m. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of its register receipts collected during that three-hour period to Forum, while dancers will assist in serving customers both in the restaurant and drive thru.

"Forum provides so many incredible opportunities to young and aspiring dancers throughout the area that it is a pleasure to set aside an evening when we can provide our support," said Culver's of Libertyville owner Chris Searles. "To have one of the country's most acclaimed dance studios right here in Libertyville is pretty amazing."

Forum's alumnae have gone on to achieve greatness, teaching at some of the most prestigious dance companies and universities in the country. Others, meanwhile, work on a daily basis with giants in the music and dance industry. Among those include Forum Alum CJ Salvador, who has danced on tour with Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

"We wouldn't be able to offer the world-class instruction and master trainers for our young dancers if it weren't for businesses like Culver's of Libertyville providing its support," said Executive Director Shelley Hoselton.
