Rolling Meadows High staff to work at McDonald's for scholarships

On Monday, Nov. 17, the Rolling Meadows High School staff is hosting a McTeacher Night from 5 to 8 p.m. at McDonald's, 1775 Algonquin Road.

As part of the Rolling Meadows McDonald's Grand Re-Opening, teachers and staff from Rolling Meadows High School will be working the front counter, serving up drinks and making sure all drive-through orders are handled.

More than 40 staff members have volunteered time to help celebrate the Grand Re-Opening, which will raise money for student scholarships.

Teachers such as Caleb Parnin, Stephen Traphagen, Tim Patterson, Sean Radcliffe, Mary Luckritz and others will be singing and playing drums, guitars and other instruments to entertain the crowds.

Twenty percent of the profits will go toward raising funds for upcoming scholarships for graduates.

The Rolling Meadows High School team will also have administrators on hand to clean, greet and make sure the team effort does not go unnoticed. Tip jars will also be located throughout the McDonald's.

The school has the support of its boosters, students and community to help with this worthwhile cause.

To give back to the community, the Advancement Via Individual Determination last week delivered 190 warm winter coats to needy families in the area. Additionally, several groups will be collecting food donations this month and next.
