Lake Barrington celebrates Veterans Day
The Lake Barrington Shores Veterans Organization will hold its Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Lake Barrington Field House on Pepper Road at 28156 W. Northpointe Parkway. Keynote speaker Robert Abboud will talk on "Remembrances of the Korean War." He served as a 2nd lieutenant in the Marines there from 1951 to 1953, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
