Crystal Lake daughter, father arrested on drug charges

A Crystal Lake woman and her father were arrested Tuesday on drug charges.

The arrest marks the end of a four-month investigation, according to a McHenry County sheriff's office news release.

The news release said the sheriff's Police Narcotics Task Force had received information that Kayli J. Charlette, 19, of the 0-100 block of Gates Street was selling LSD and cannabis. Sheriff's detectives and Crystal Lake police made undercover drug purchases from Charlette, the news release said.

Authorities arrested Charlette Tuesday at her home. They also discovered that Charlette and her father, 53-year-old Raymond D. Charlette, had cannabis and drug paraphernalia, the news release said.

Officials said they seized about 540 grams of cannabis, 45 hits of acid, 0.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, two digital drug scales, drug paraphernalia, a drug ledger, packaging materials and $663.

Police estimated the street value of the drugs at $11,000.

Raymond Charlette was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Kayli Charlette is accused of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park; unlawful possession of a controlled substance, cannabis and drug paraphernalia; and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and cannabis.
