Hoffman Estates to host Veterans Day ceremony

The Village of Hoffman Estates Veterans' Memorial Commission invites the community to join them on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for the village's annual Veterans Day ceremony.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial site just outside the police department at 411 W. Higgins Road. The Hoffman Estates High School Marching Band will perform and Mayor William D. McLeod will give the keynote address.

Veterans' Memorial Commission Chairman Les Montag will then speak, followed by a moment of silence at 11 a.m. A closing invocation will be offered by the Rev. Alan Eaton, chaplain of the Hoffman Estates Police Department.
