Quietly making sense for DuPage

There's a lot of noise out there as the political candidates swipe at each other this election season. But there's one candidate out there who I believe quietly makes a lot of sense for DuPage voters.

Dan Cronin is using his 20 years in the legislature and experience as a lifelong DuPage resident to advocate each day on behalf of voters.

No one has done more to bring economic stability and prosperity to our county. Unemployment in DuPage for the latest quarter sits at just 5 percent. Cronin is bringing more jobs to DuPage through innovative programs that promote jobs in high tech manufacturing for young people and workers who need retraining.

He worked with Northern Illinois University to open the first high tech business incubator in DuPage, one of only three outside of Chicago. The new Rev 3 Innovation Center will grow and keep tomorrow's businesses right here in DuPage, bringing jobs and opportunity.

Additionally, Cronin is working with Cook and the other collar counties on an effort to help small and medium-sized businesses export their goods internationally. This effort will increase profitability and again, create jobs.

At the same time, Cronin has cut the size of the DuPage County government. His Accountability, Consolidation and Transparency, or ACT Initiative has resulted in shared services and savings of an estimated $80 million over 20 years for DuPage voters.

Cronin has his eye on a leaner, smarter local government that serves taxpayers the way a 21st century government should, leveraging partnerships and with an eye toward value for taxpayers.

I intend to cast my vote for DuPage County Chairman for Republican Dan Cronin because his leadership has benefited us all. And I believe he has the right focus to lead our county for the next four years.
