Fishing column 'sings' enthusiasm

Even though I'm not a fisherman, I applaud Mike Jackson for his fishing column in the Oct. 23 Daily Herald. His column literally "sings" with enthusiasm for fishing. That's why it's fun to read.

I've fished only once in my life - in a small mountain stream (Horton Creek) off Tonto Creek in Arizona while at the nearby Camp Geronimo Boy Scout Camp. I had been invited to accompany an adult friend of my foster parents. As I recall, we yanked out a dozen or more trout and then cooked 'em right away over a fire. Their delicious taste still lingers some 70 years later.
