Stolman will help hold line on taxes

I read somewhere that Illinois has the second-highest property taxes in the nation, and Lake County has the highest property taxes of any other county in Illinois. In fact, our county's property taxes are among the highest of any county in the nation. I'm sick of politicians giving lip-service to this serious problem. It's time we took action to address this issue in Lake County.

David Stolman admits that as a candidate for Lake County treasurer, there isn't a lot he can do. But he has committed to doing whatever he can.

He is going to do joint events with the county assessor to educate homeowners on property taxes and how they can appeal.

He is going to make our tax bills more transparent so we can see where our money is going and fight for more responsible spending. He is going to publish a searchable ledger of Lake County's finances so we can better hold government accountable for how they spend our money. David Stolman has a plan to help us lower our property taxes.
