Bartlett to crack down on drunken driving over Halloween

Bartlett police have received a state grant to direct 30 extra patrols for a traffic enforcement campaign over the Halloween weekend.

The department will participate in the state's “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” initiative from Friday through Sunday.

The effort is funded by a grant through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety.

Police urge drivers to wear seat belts, to refrain from using electronic devices and to assign a designated driver.

For details, call police at (630) 837-0846.
