Keep Duckworth in our corner

"If it's not broken, don't fix it." Everyone has heard this old saying, and still there are those who just want things "their way." This is how I feel about the election - especially in the 8th Congressional District where Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth has served, and I do mean served, the residents with dignity and pride.

Tammy answers all questions, stands up for the right thing and does whatever it takes to make her community safe, and a desired place to live. She has voted her conscience of common sense in office: items such as Veterans Affairs, Social Security, jobs and assistance to constituents on personal affairs. She even has satellite office hours to help those with immediate needs.

I believe we are in good hands as long as Tammy Duckworth is in our corner. She is with us concerning things that directly affect those in the 8th District.

I am a member of "the common working family," and in my eyes she has fought wholeheartedly for us in matters influencing Medicare, national defense and Social Security benefits for those of us who have worked our lives counting on it.

Again, "If it is not broken, don't fix it!"
