Durbin part of a broken system

There are two things you missed in your endorsement of Sen. Dick Durbin. First, a vote for Sen. Durbin is a vote to keep Harry Reid as the head of the Senate. I think we can all agree that Harry Reid's policies have been a disaster for this country and that he has got to go.

Second, a vote for Sen. Durbin is a vote to continue with the same kind of government we have had for years that hasn't worked. If a team is not winning, it is time to replace the players; otherwise, you keep getting the same results.

Maybe Sen. Durbin is a nice guy with great intentions, but he is a longtime part of the crew of Democrats and Republicans that has put our country in the terrible shape it is in. He is not responsible for everything, but he is part of a broken system. It is time to clean house and stop doing the same thing with the same people producing the same problems.
