Put some logic in MLB playoff schedule

Major League Baseball really needs to get this right. I love the fact we now have an additional wild card team from each league. But after playing 162 games, you're going to determine who advances by playing one wild card game? This is absolutely absurd.

The current format is for one league to play a wild card game on Tuesday after the regular season is over with the other league playing its wild card game on Wednesday. Why not have a best-of-three series with each league beginning on Monday after the regular season is over, with the team with the better record hosting the first two games, and if they split, they would go to the opponent's park on Wednesday? They could play these games on consecutive days so the winners would be determined by Wednesday, which is what MLB currently does.

There would be more revenue for MLB, and it would enable fans to watch more playoff baseball. No more days would be added to the schedule and the better team would have a better chance to advance! Makes a lot of sense to me. Under the current format, one bad pitch can determine who advances after a long and grueling season. This is not good for baseball. Make the change!
