Rauner is not the change we need

Change in government policy can be a good thing - i.e., T. Roosevelt's establishing national parks, Lincoln freeing the slaves, FDR establishing Social Security and unemployment insurance, but Mr. Rauner has not laid out his economic and social policies and positions in a clear way.

Saying he would freeze taxes?

Skills in running a business are not the same as running government. Being new to politics need not be an asset. But most of all, I have seen what "changes" other Republican governors have made in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Texas, etc. Most of the changes were not beneficial to the people of their state.

Gov. Quinn came in at a bad time. There had been scandal, and the recession was still on. He has worked the best he could to make job growth come to Illinois and protect workers' rights.

There is still much to be done. I do not think Mr. Rauner is the man to make the changes needed.
