See the many colors of fall at the Schaumburg Park District

Enjoy the crisp fall air and colorful leaves on an autumn hike.

Take in all the sights and shades at the Fall Color Hike, 10:30 a.m. to noon, Oct. 18 at Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

Join a naturalist and explore how and why leaves change colors in the fall. Participants will hike throughout the grounds discovering signs of winter and seeing how animals prepare for winter.

"There are tons of things to see and explore this time of year," said Mary Rice, District education coordinator. "Once a tree changes a certain color they will continue to change that color every year. See all the colors of Spring Valley on this colorful hike."

Cost is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents.
