Sente with Madigan most of the time

As a resident of the 59th District I was shocked to read the letter from Mr. Thorton Jay. I couldn't disagree with him more.

My state representative, Carol Sente, claims to be independent, but is anything but. The facts are very clear. Sente was originally appointed by Mike Madigan in 2009, voted for him to be Speaker both times and has voted with him 98 percent of the time. She has also received over $1 million in campaign funds from Madigan and her party. All of these facts can be found at VoteSmart.com.

I ask voters to decide if these facts sound like independence to you? To me, it is apparent Speaker Madigan controls Carol Sente and tells her how to vote. I am tired of one party control in Illinois and the politicians not working to solve the state's dire financial mess.

I am voting for change this November by supporting a new truly independent candidate and Springfield outsider, Leslie Munger for District 59 state representative.
