Bonner Farm country fair:

Bring a picnic and spend the afternoon at an old-fashioned country fair from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Bonner Heritage Farm in Lindenhurst. Activities for all ages include a petting zoo, wagon and pony rides, crafts, hands-on historic farm activities, and live entertainment. Visitors can play old-fashioned games and guess the weight of giant pumpkin or paint a pumpkin or gourd in the craft area and help build a scarecrow at the scarecrow-making station. Bonner Farm exhibits will be open and include an activity maze, weather station and oversized farm animal cutouts. Admission is $5 per person. Children ages 3 and under are free. The parking lot entrance to Bonner Heritage Farm is on Country Place, off Sand Lake Road just west of Route 45. Visit www.lcfpd.org.
