Celebrate Oktoberfest in Downtown Mount Prospect Oct. 11
Join the Mount Prospect Downtown Merchants Association for Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 11. The event will be held from 4 - 11 p.m. in downtown Mount Prospect (Emerson Street and Busse Avenue).
Food vendors include Mrs. P & Me, Retro Bistro and Central Continental Bakery, serving authentic German food. New this year is the beer selection, featuring Hofbrauhaus and Hofbrauhaus Oktoberfest.
"We are excited to be serving Hofbrauhaus beer at Mount Prospect's Oktoberfest," said Erich Held, chairperson of the Oktoberfest planning committee. "Hofbrau-Munchen is one of the six breweries providing beer for Germany's Oktoberfest; it adds to the authenticity of our event."
The event has a great entertainment lineup with Karl Heinz Bauer German DJ and Dancers from 3:30 - 6 p.m. and Phenix German Band performing from 6 - 11 p.m. (under a heated tent). Don't forget your lederhosen - the day will be guaranteed Gemutlichkeit (Good Times) for all!
